VICTOR C. M. LEUNG is a Fellow of IEEE, the Royal Society of Canada, Canadian Academy of Engineering, and Engineering Institute of Canada. He is the Director of the Wireless Networks and Mobile Systems Laboratory at UBC, Canada. Previously he was a Professor of Electrical and Computer Engineering, and holder of the TELUS Mobility Research Chair in Advanced Telecommunications Engineering at UBC. He was elected as a Distinguished Speaker of the IEEE Communications Society. He is serving or has served on the editorial boards of the IEEE Network, IEEE Access, IEEE Wireless Communications Letters，IEEE Journal on Selected Areas in Communications，and IEEE Transactions on Computers /Cloud Computing/ Green Communications and Networking/Vehicular Technology/Wireless Communications. He has co-authored more than 1200 journal/conference papers in the areas of wireless networking and mobile computing. Several of his papers have won best paper awards. He is included in the Clarivate Analytics list of highly cited authors. He received the IEEE Vancouver Section Centennial Award, 2011 UBC Killam Research Prize, 2017 Canadian Award for Telecommunications Research, and 2018 IEEE TGCC Distinguished Technical Achievement Recognition Award.
