The College of Computer Science and Software Engineering (CSSE) successfully hosted the 2025 Computer Science Special Topic Summer Camp from July 12 to 15.

The program received an overwhelming 1,385 applications from outstanding undergraduate students nationwide. Over 500 of these applicants came from top-tier "Double First-Class" universities, representing approximately 42% of all applicants.
Highlight
Academic Immersion
The camp was structured to offer a rich blend of academics and exchange opportunities:
1. Opening Ceremony: Gave applicants an initial introduction to the College and ignited their enthusiasm for learning.
2. Seminar: Top scholars in computer science delivered cutting-edge reports, decoding the latest industry trends and broadening academic horizons.
3. Faculty-Student One-on-One: Provided valuable opportunities for face-to-face discussions with supervisors regarding research direction, career planning, and research life.
Online-Offline Hybrid Model
To ensure broader access for all aspiring students, this year’s summer camp adopted an "In-Person Deep Participation + Online Live Stream" hybrid model. Approximately 300 "In-Person Campers" received exclusive support, including free accommodation and subsidies for travel and meals.
Practical Evaluation
The Summer Camp included practical programming exercises and ability assessment components. Participants with outstanding overall performance were awarded "Outstanding Camper" certificates.
This academic journey not only gave campers a deep understanding of the unique strengths of the Computer Science discipline at Shenzhen University but also allowed the College to witness the intellectual curiosity and innovative potential of the next generation of young scholars, planting the seeds of hope for future talent cultivation and discipline development.
