Dean Hui Huang
Hui Huang, Ph.D. in Math from UBC, is a Chair Professor, the Founding Director of the Visual Computing Research Center, and the Dean of the College of Computer Science and Software Engineering at Shenzhen University. Her research focuses on computer graphics, with particular interests in point cloud processing, geometric modeling, shape analysis, and 3D acquisition and creation. She has served on the editorial boards of ACM TOG and IEEE TVCG, and held leadership roles including member of the ACM SIGGRAPH Academy and EG Executive Committee. She is also a CSIG Fellow, and has held various conference chair positions. She has authored over 60 papers in SIGGRAPH/TOG venues and led more than 10 major national research projects. Her honors include the ACM SIGGRAPH Test-of-Time Award, the Asia Graphics Outstanding Technical Contribution Award, the First Prize for Technological Invention from the China Electronics Society, the Beikun Young Scientist Potential Award, and the China Industry-University-Research Cooperation Innovation Figure Award. She has been consistently recognized as a Highly Cited Chinese Researcher, a World’s Top 2% Scientist, an AMiner AI 2000 Most Influential Scholar, and one of the world’s top female scholars.
