His research interest includes Computer Vision, Machine Learning, Crowd Counting, Multi-Camera Surveillance and 3D Scene Understanding. He has several publication records both in the top conferences and journals of computer vision and artificial intelligence, e.g. CVPR, AAAI, IJCV, TNNLS. His PhD research project, "Automatic Wide-area Crowd Surveillance Using Multiple Cameras" received the Silver Medal at Inventions Geneva Evaluation Days (IGED) 2022. He is a reviewer/program committee member for top CV and AI conferences or journals, such as CVPR, ICCV, NeurIPS, ECCV, AAAI, IEEE TIP, TNNLS or TMM.
